I love Teds. Its small but has just about everything you need. I shop here exclusively for their meats, high quality and yet the best price! Their staff is also friendly, courteous and helpful. They are also the only grocery store around that provides disposable gloves to wear since covid hit, just to add another layer of safety. I shop here a lot and love this store 💜

My job has me in Supermarkets covering the entire East Coast. A “mega-market” it is not, which in my experience is a good thing.! Friendly folks, awesome ownership and since my job responsibilities have me in bakery departments, I need to mention Ted’s Bakery is phenomenal . For the quality of items Bob puts together along with the retail price being charged, the bakery should be your first stop upon entering the store. Ted’s is first class !!

Very nice friendly staff. Store almost always has a great selection of quality meats for good prices. They also have a lovely stocked deli. You'll fine all the usual produce there, just nothing super exotic.

More a large grocery store rather than a supermarket, it's very convenient. Staff is very nice and helpful. Spectacular meats! 12/31/23 they are asking for an update. Can't sure how I can update a 5 star, except they still are great. 2/22 google maps wants an update. If you have a Ted's card there's online coupons which can add up and if over 55 (with card) you get a 5% discount M-F. Great grab and go section for lunch and dinner. 7/12/24 Google maps asks for an update. Like every place else they've a personnel shortage. It's disappointing to be told, when I needed customer service, that there's nobody in customer service today.

This is a independently owned small town grocery store. They have a reasonable stock a little bit of everything. They're claim to fame would be their butcher shop and deli. Reasonably priced, Good selection. Very helpful staff.

Teds has a wonderful meat department and staff. They are super friendly and very supportive of our town. From fundraisers to donation boxes by many of the youth groups in town they rarely say no when helping our town out. The department is great with custom orders or ensuring that in order can be made or set aside for an event you have. They have a wonderful prepared food section for a whole meal, and their bakery items are fresh every day.

I grew up a few states away from Connecticut in a sprawling suburban area--bustling shopping malls, oversized plazas, and the early days of the modern ultra-supermarket chains. A few smaller grocers clung to life as long as they could before inevitably being forced to sell out to these growing chains, and I spent the remainder of my childhood and most of my adult years without a nearby local grocery option. Fortunately, the cultural climate of Connecticut has allowed a vestige of those mom-and-pop operations to linger to this day and, in the case of Ted's and a few other IGA-branded stores in the region, to thrive. When I first set foot in Ted's a couple years ago, before even moving to Connecticut, I was immediately transported back to my childhood grocery store. Don't let the label of supermarket fool you--Ted's has only good things in common with national supermarket chains. It has a focus on local produce and protein with great selections of fresh fruits, veggies, meat, and seafood, all at reasonable prices and far better quality than your big or giant chain stores. Is Ted's a one-stop shop for all your household needs? Certainly not. But such stores didn't exist back in the day, and we're a lot worse off for it now that they're everywhere. It used to be--or so my elders tell me from their porches--that you would go to the local grocer for your *groceries* and then the appropriate other local store for your other needs. Ted's does not try to stock 45 shades of pink lipstick; the national supermarket a few miles up the road does. Does that make the other place better? Depends on how much lipstick you consume, I suppose. I'm not going to blame you if you take your shopping to a single big-box store. I get it. Time. Money. Excessive options. When you need to buy bananas, printer ink, and ammo all in one trip, Ted's will sell you lovely bananas, and then you'll go somewhere else.
